I have used the Sliplead with the handle on my Icelandic Sheepdog and American Cocker Spaniel. Due to having had surgeries on my hand recently the handle has totally enabled me to take my dogs for a walk outside! One of my hands has not been able to hold anything like a normal lead or cord and my other hand has also had trouble holding onto things and not drop them, so I had not been able to walk my dogs much as a result. With the handle I can pinch it between my fingers which enables me to keep hold of the lead in my palm. Also it doesn't hurt that the lead is beautiful.

I do not have to bundle up the cord in my hand and this lead simply can withstand much more than other leads. My previous lead snapped at our first training session for the last show for instance. I do not intend to use any other brand of lead in the future :) I am really pleased with my Handlers lead and it has helped me to have a lead I can actually hold onto. Even though it is a fine showlead I have not had any trouble using it on our regular walks around the neighborhood.

You only have a few seconds in the ring with the judges full attention, so during those precious few seconds everything must be perfect! I am a novice in the dog show world. I used to fumble a little with the regular lead, failing to roll the lead discretely into my palm. This got me a little nervous, and that tension led directly on to my dog. With the Handler lead, my nervousness is gone, resulting in a more self secure handler and a much calmer dog. Thus giving me an advantage in the show ring.

I have used Handlers Showleads on Italian Greyhounds, Chinese Crested and Toy Poodle. The handle works very well, I feel I have more control over the dog because I have something decent to hold onto. The handle fits well in my hand and is comfortable to the touch.
For me the handle is nr. 1,2 and 3 what I feel is an improvement to other leads on the market. Also, I think the materials you use for both the cord and the ribbon are very good. Finally a showlead is available that is ELEGANT "all the way". Not just made of regular nylon cord. For those who like some "bling" on their leads, then I think it is great to have such a wide selection to choose from, so that one can have a unique lead as no one else has exactly the same. This is a "dream lead" because you have the option of getting exactly what you want and are searching for in a showlead.
Of course I will be using Handlers leads, and only Handlers leads in the future. "I'm a believer" and for someone like me, that has small elegant dogs these leads are a perfect fit, especially with the Italian Greyhounds that come in quite a few colours and various shades of these colours. Then it is priceless to be able to get a lead that is a perfect match to the dog. For me this is very important and a large plus. I have used an "obselete" model of the leads on my Poodle at 5 shows and have received 2 winner titles, a double CAC in Holland, 2 reserve CACIB´s in Belgium and VDH-CAC in Germany, these are lucky leads and I cannot wait to get the new and improved version for my Poodle.

The selection of leads on offer is exceptional and I think you cannot find anywhere else with this much variety and get ALL types of leads in one place, in the same style. Everyone can find something to fit their requirements. I also think the option of having the handle - or not - is great, some people might find it better not to have it and great to be able to skip it.

I have used the traditional Handlers Showlead for my Chihuahua's. I think the handle is the best part of the lead and have only a couple of times had the lead slip off the handle. It didn't bother me at all. I find it much more comfortable to have the handle than a knot of cord in my hand. The handle is the best! I will be using Handlers in the future and getting more colours as I only have a black one at the moment. I also think it is a good idea to have the option of having only the cord and not the ribbon around the dogs neck as with the shorthaired Chihuahua there can be too much of a divide with the ribbon on their necks. I like better the Simple Showlead on shorthaired Chihuahua's.

with it the lead does not slip out of my hands and I do not have to readjust the length when stacking my dog. The handle is the best feature of the lead and also my bitch is much more secure in this lead. I will be using the Handlers lead in future at shows.

Hi Sorry thought I had sent this. I received my new lead and thrilled to bits with it, it looks lovely, so fine as well for the Chihuahuas. Can't wait to use it, but going away on Friday so it wont be until September 4th before I get to use it for the first time. Thank you.
